Fanny Lu is making a fierce comeback after a three-year break with the tender single "El Perfume."
The song was written by fellow Colombian Carlos Vives, with whom she recently collaborated on a remake of his classic "La Tierra del Olvido," along with Vives's producer and co-writer Andres Castro. We love its "pop vallenato" style.
"El Perfume" is pure dynamite in all its addictive lyrical beauty, and it portrays the passion Fanny Lu has for her native Colombia, a theme she plans to carry throughout her upcoming album. With the official music video just released, it is sure to continue its rise up the charts. Check out the video below, filmed in Colombia, and see it featured on August's list of our Top 5 Latin Songs of the Moment.
Fanny Lu was recently nominated in the Favorite Female Artist category for the first ever Latin American Music Awards. You can vote for her here.
