After fronting bands The Sudden Passion and Femme Fatality for the past 15 years, indie singer-songwriter Bradley Palermo is now making a go of it on his own. His new single "Deep Valley Blues" releases everywhere today and it's definitely a must-listen.
Palermo finds his definitive style in the sounds of indie folk and Americana and delivers his stories through rich melodies and potent lyrics. "Deep Valley Blues" is a perfect blend of grit and nostalgia. An anthem with an addicting twang, perfect melody, and edgy yet warm vocals, "Deep Valley Blues is a song about the struggles of being transplanted to Los Angeles," Palermo told Musical Notes Global. "You're far from everyone you know and love and everything is a little bit less glamorous than you'd imagined it might be. I wrote it some time ago, I'm glad it's finally recorded!"
To give the track even more depth, Palermo enlisted the help of Reggie Duncan, a pedal steel player from Mississippi. "I really think he...gave it some extra heart and soul," Palermo said.
"Deep Valley Blues" is the first in a series of monthly singles Palermo will release along with lyric videos.
