Danish singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and DJ Sara Savery has set out on a new project called Drop The Gun.
Now Brooklyn-based, the artist is best known for her work with dream-pop collective Blue Foundation and was also a member of neo-shoegaze band Ghost Society as well as of the electronica group People Press Play prior to beginning her own project.
On Friday, Savery released her stunning first single under the moniker Drop The Gun. Titled "Deeper," the song is like an intimate look at a moment between a couple. "It's about her telling him that he doesn't need to have his guards up because she's there for him," Savery explained. "Going deeper refers to the sensuality between the two and is also a metaphor for getting to know each other better on a deeper level."
"Deeper" will be included on her debut EP, which was written, recorded, and produced by Savery herself and is set for release on June 9. The powerful accompanying video was filmed at a remote location in the French Alps. Watch below.
