Jona Camacho has already made waves in his native Colombia, but now he’s bringing his talents to the U.S. and we can’t get enough.
An amazingly gifted songwriter and self-taught musician, Camacho is a former member of the Colombian band Radiosuite and is now an up and coming sensation in his own right, delivering an enticing, distinctive sound that blends rock, pop, and R&B.
On Friday Camacho released his latest single “Está Bn,” a Spanish-language jam that tells the story of a love gone bad. Overflowing with sultry vocals and sensual, easy-going rhythms, it’s a track that will make listeners dream while breaking their hearts at the same time.
“I grew up listening to vinyl records of Stevie Wonder, Barry White and Colombian artists like Grupo Niche. I carry them all with me every time I write and produce my songs. ‘Está Bn’ is a reflection of all of their influence and my respect for classic Soul and R&B,” Camacho explains about the song.
