Sergio Elías Shines Opening for Reik in Mexico
/Mexican-American singer/songwriter Sergio Elías has caught our attention, and we can’t wait to see what he’s going to do next.
This past Saturday, the up and coming urban music star opened for the Latin Grammy award-winning pop trio Reik in Mazatlan, Mexico and impressed the audience with his stellar performance.
At just 24 years old, Elías is already making a splash in a genre that is usually not explored by Mexican artists, thanks in large part to his melodic vocal prowess. In order to develop his sound, in 2017, he started working with some of the top producers and songwriters in Latin music, including Hi Music Hi Flow (Ozuna) and Saga WhiteBlack (Shakira, Nicky Jam). By early 2018, he made his official debut with the single “En Secreto” and followed it up with “El Intruso.” Both tracks helped establish an organic fan base for the young singer, and have helped him win the attention of the industry.
Elías is now preparing to release new music, including a new single produced by Saga WhiteBlack later this summer.
