Ukrainian violinist and global music star Assia Ahhatt will be bringing her riveting show “A Music Extravaganza” through the United States this fall.
Classically trained in Kiev, Ukraine’s capital city, Ahhatt has won a variety of European competitions and became one of the youngest soloists for the Ukrainian National Philharmonic. She made her U.S. debut in 2013 with the song “If Only Tonight,” which reached #6 on Billboard’s singles chart in addition to landing on the National Dance Club chart for several weeks, and followed it up with “Fiesta in San Juan,” a fiery duet with Puerto Rican reggaeton icon Wisin.
As part of her international concert tour, Ahhatt will present her live show “A Music Extravaganza” to audiences in the United States, performing in cities including Cincinnati, Detroit, and Syracuse. The artist will invite local choirs and young violinists from local schools to participate in each stop of the tour, and she will also donate violins to various schools in each city.
During her upcoming show on October 3 in Columbus, OH, Ahhatt will invite a selection of young violinists from The Urban Strings Columbus Youth Orchestra to perform on stage with her.
“It is an honor to invite the young musicians of Urban Strings to perform with me on October 3rd,” she says. “I’m delighted to perform live for the first time for my fans in Columbus who were able to enjoy my show on PBS, and also to reconnect with those who saw me perform with Ethan Bortnick and Chris Botti in past years.”
“A Music Extravaganza” tour comes in support of Ahhatt’s 2018 album of the same name, which was produced by 16-time Grammy winner Humberto Gatica. The live show, which was directed by awarded-winning producer Gene Bortnick and filmed at the Opera House of Kiev, has been featured in the United States on PBS stations this summer and will continue to air through the fall.
