Enter indie pop princess Ella Isaacson, who released her poignant new single “Hard Lessons” this week.
Making her debut in 2019 with the soaring single “Naked,” Isaacson has carved a special niche for herself by delivering multi-layered, emotionally-driven stories told over echoing pop beats. “Hard Lessons” is yet another example of her ability to relate to her listeners on a personal level, offering a heartfelt prayer for unity, a reverberating anthemic chorus, and an encouraging reminder that even the deepest agony can be harnessed to help us overcome the toughest challenges, including those the world is facing today.
“After this past year and all the things we’ve been experiencing as a world it felt right to release this song,” she says. “We’re gonna rise back up and be a better world, we’re gonna lean into love and not hate, and we’re gonna stand up and challenge the things we feel the need to change; that is my hope that these Hard Lessons bring us together and that our pain can inspire us to create a brighter future for ourselves and everything and everyone around us.”
