Watch: LADAMA's "Porro Maracatu"

Did you know that LADAMA is Musical Notes Global's new favorite girl group?

Hailing from Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, and the United States, Lara Klaus, Daniela Serna, Mafer Bandola, and Sara Lucas are dazzling listeners with their unique modern music that blends acoustic and electric sounds with South American and Caribbean styles.

Through their work as LADAMA, the Latin quartet is working to address gender inequality and unequal representation of women, build community, and challenge the current anti-immigrant and pro-boundaries narrative that is currently affecting the U.S. and other parts of the world.

The group recently shared the official video for their new soul-stirring, spirit-freeing single "Porro Maracatu," and it's just as vibrant as the music. Watch below.

In case you missed it, LADAMA talked to Musical Notes Global about "Porro Maracatu" and their upcoming self-titled album, which is due for release on September 8. Check out the full interview here.
