Having started her career in Los Angeles, where she began writing and recording songs after graduating from college, Tulsa, OK-born, Nashville-based singer and songwriter Whitney Fenimore is carving a path for herself in the industry as an honest and passionate storyteller.

Following the success of her debut EP Battle Within, the mental health advocate and champion for equal rights in the LGBTQ music community has released her sophomore EP Highs + Lows. Comprising four tracks, the collection is a poignant reflection and exploration of one of the hardest years of her life, revealing not only moments of darkness and heartbreak in songs like “Hearts Don’t Fit Together” but moments of joy, as heard in “Feel It Too,” as well.

“This year I went through some of the hardest times in my life. Really wasn’t sure how I was going to get through it,” she explains. “Within the same year I experienced some of the best times in my life. Life is full of ups and downs...but that’s all a part of the journey. The trick is learning how to embrace the beauty and the pain; the highs and the lows.”

Whitney will be taking over Musical Notes Global’s Instagram account tomorrow, October 1. Be sure to follow @mngblog for all the action and listen to Highs + Lows now on Spotify.
