If you’re on the lookout for some daydream-inducing new music, look no further than indie pop band Silk Tonic.
Uniting two childhood friends, lead singer/drummer Matthew Brouillet and lead guitarist/bassist Mark Hodges, the Montreal-based band pens wonderfully irresistible tunes, and creates their music with the aim to give the same joy to their listeners as it gives them.
Silk Tonic recently dropped their debut single “Summer Time,” a sweet and dreamy pop bop that captures the same electricity that sparks when meeting that special someone for the very first time, bringing the excitement and the overwhelming feelings that only occur with new love right up to the surface.

1. “Endlessly”-The Cab
We discovered this song a while back and even though it isn’t a new track, it remains one of our favourite love songs. You believe and feel every lyric that Alexander DeLeon interprets, while being accompanied by an emotionally driven musical arrangement.
2. “What They Mean”-Donovan Woods
A smooth, laid back acoustic song where the lyrics are so relatable, you can’t help but feel every word he sings. This song is a great example of how a guitar and a voice can take you on an emotional journey.
3. “All The Feels”-Fly By Midnight
This track simply puts you in a good mood from the very beginning. A vibey song with amazing vocal arrangements that make you want to listen to it on repeat. A true gem by Fly By Midnight.
4. “Summer Time”-Silk Tonic
Of course we had to include ourselves in this list! A smooth acoustic song that will bring back memories of falling in love.
5. “Yellow Lights”-Harry Hudson
A song beautiful in its simplicity, with a great piano arrangement and beautiful vocal production. This is by far one of our all time favourite songs.
6. “Thick and Thin”-LANY
Not a traditional love song due to it’s darker lyrics, but we love the atmosphere created by LANY in this amazing track. Beautiful in its simplicity, you can’t help but sing along and relate with the lyrics.
7. “Good Grief”-Bastille
A song that will make you want to dance. The chorus will leave wanting more after every listen. Bastille twists the recipe for a love song into an anthem.
8. “Still Feel Like Your Man”-John Mayer
What makes this song so amazing is its groove. John Mayer, being the amazing guitarist that he is, has the ability to create a vibe with his guitar alone. The chorus is also enchanting and will have you sing along after the first listen.
9. “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know)”-The 1975
We love the ‘80s vibe of this track. A different approach to the typical love song. The 1975 will sway you with their unique sound. A perfect song to dance and sing along to.
10. “Tattoos Together”-Lauv
Great vibe, catchy lyrics and simple production, this song will instantly make you smile. You cannot help but sing along to this sweet love song. This typical Lauv song will be stuck in your head for days.
