Listen: Jake Clemons Talks Desire + Greed on New Single "Consumption Town"

Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jake Clemons lives life to the fullest while making a statement in the process.

Clemons just released “Consumption Town,” the second single off his upcoming album Eyes On The Horizon, which is set to drop this summer. The song serves as a wake-up call against desire and greed and how those feelings mask our true needs.

“It’s about how we seem to be distracted by desire and greed, and how big corporations are creating these distractions and causing us to lose sight of our needs,” Jake says. “It’s also a change in direction for me musically. I was really delighted to have Tom Morello featured on guitar for ‘Consumption Town’.”

For the last seven years, Clemons has acted as the tenor and baritone saxophonist with Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, where he has filled the shoes of his late uncle Clarence Clemons, touring the world and finding the time to perform his own music as well.

This week, Clemons continues his tour of The Netherlands and Italy. Full list of dates below.
