R&B is truly having a moment right now and it’s exciting to watch the genre continue to evolve.
Enter Roman Rouge, a Texas-born singer and songwriter who’s blending pop and R&B in a way that will without a doubt capture the attention of anyone who happens to be listening. Not to mention he’s encouraging his fans to be their best authentic selves, and that’s never a bad thing.
Roman recently released his highly anticipated single “Nobody.” Written by Frawley and produced by Beacon Hill (Khalid), the track follows the release of his debut EP Voicemails, which earned acclaim from his local music scene, and tackles the feelings and emotions that come with having a crush and wanting that person to reciprocate those feelings. Sensual melodies a la The Weeknd and delicate but passionate vocals are immediately engaging, leaving listeners (like us) eager to hear what else this young artist has in store.
“The main theme of my music is to be aware of why you are who you are, and how you can let your past experiences define you, learn from your mistakes, move on and be better,” Roman says. Listen to “Nobody” below.
