Austin Prog Rock Band Anime Drops Thrilling New Single "Pop!" Ahead of EP Release

After making their official debut in October 2019 with their dynamic single “Cherry,” Austin-based progressive rock trio Anime is back in 2020 with a brand new single that sounds exactly as its title suggests.

Written by guitarist Emilio Rendon before forming the band, “Pop!” is a sensational and animated exploration of sounds and textures that takes listeners on the musical ride of their lives, racing through moments of thrilling anticipation and epic breaths of heart-pounding excitement. “It’s definitely one of our more upbeat, energetic songs reminiscing on the early 2000’s emo/prog,” the band says.

Formed in 2019, Anime brings together guitarists Emilio Rendon and Jarrod Apodaca and drummer Hayden Griffis. “Pop!” will be featured on the band’s upcoming EP.
