[EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE] Davey Harris Addresses Climate Change in New Music Video "PNGN DNCE"

Singer-songwriter Davey Harris is taking on a big topic in a big way, and we can’t help but support him.

The New York-based artist, who made his debut earlier this year with the song “Self Saboteur,” addresses climate change and humanity’s impact on wildlife in his latest single “PNGN DNCE.”

Harris created the song’s music video, premiering today exclusively on Musical Notes Global, in partnership with The Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition (ASOC), Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research Krill Action Group (SKAG). Featuring animation by Meghan McCarthy, the powerful visual provides viewers with a necessary dose of reality as they not only watch the wide-ranging damaging effects of human behavior destroy the Earth’s climate, but also get a harrowing closer glimpse of a group of penguins forced to combat melting ice caps, changing climates, and geographical destruction as they progress through their life journey.

“One of my favorite things is to find cool young artists and involve them in my projects and see what amazing art they come up with—that’s how we created the ‘PNGN DNCE’ video,” Harris tells Musical Notes Global. “Climate change, protecting Antarctica and the Southern Oceans and other environmental causes matter to me and I get inspired when I get to write songs to champion a cause. This is the magic that came from this cause.”

Both beautiful and heartbreaking, Harris’s “PNGN DNCE” is an urgent wake up call that will remind fans of the critical importance of taking action to save the planet and its inhabitants before it’s too late.
