Nigerian-Canadian artist Del has us wishing it was summer again.

Based in Toronto, the rapper, singer, and songwriter grew up performing in musical theater but is now harnessing the power of his multicultural upbringing in a sparkling solo career.

Del Presents: A Sunset Special is Del’s latest offering. The three-song EP glistens with the magic of summer yet eases listeners into the mystical allure of the autumnal months.

“This project is a nod to the end of summer, and the feelings that come as we reflect on the vibrancy of the season,” Del says. “Summer’s my favourite time of the year, and everytime it ends, I’m usually thinking about the next, looking forward to long days and warm nights again. It’s in that spirit that I wrote these three songs, and I hope the positive vibes translate.”

Having been born in Nigeria and raised in Tanzania, Mauritius, Kenya, Del is now living in Canada and incorporates elements like hip-hop, R&B, and afrobeat into his sound, bringing his story to life through music. From the sexy smooth melody of “UNI,” to the smolder of Ojo collab “Karma,” and the bubbly flow of “Heatwave-3 Monkeyzz Remix,” Del Presents: A Sunset Special is the perfect soundtrack for October dreams.

Del is currently preparing to release the music video for “Karma” featuring Nigerian-Canadian rapper Ojo on October 16.
