My Playlist: The Sometimes Island

Having just celebrated Memorial Day, the excitement of summer is here. Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter The Sometimes Island is helping us keep those good vibes rolling with this awesome playlist, which he curated exclusively for Musical Notes Global:

"This playlist celebrates slowing down, basking in the sun and letting that drop of condensation roll off your ice cold drink as you relax by the pool. We start with my summer anthem 'Stick To Yer Guns', then appropriately into Poolside's version of Neil Young's 'Harvest Moon'. Spoon and Christine & the Queens keep the vibes rolling into Trey Anastasio's 'Ether Sunday', I've always felt was total audio iced tea. Next is Bibio's left-out-in-the-sun track 'À tout à l'heure' then Bahamas' floats us across the waves with 'Lost In The Light'. Dreamy, reverb soaked summer vibes abound in Kindness' cover of 'Swingin' Party', then Generationals channel a Motown block party with 'When They Fight They Fight'. I fell in love at first listen with Wild Child's relaxing slow jam 'Rillo Talk' and had to include it, and it felt only right to close out with Timber Timbre's languid 'Hot Dreams'. Happy summer everyone — kick back and enjoy!"
