2019 is a year of growth for Erin Coburn, and she’s shining as bright as a star.

With her mighty stage presence, dynamic songwriting, and robust guitar playing—not to mention her killer electric ukulele shredding—the Kentucky native has already placed in the Top 100 on the Americana Radio Charts and has performed with Grammy Award-winning artists in Nashville.

Now currently preparing for the release of her upcoming album Out From Under, Coburn has listeners in the palm of her hand, eager to hear what she has coming next. Today Musical Notes Global has the exclusive premiere of her brand new single “It’s Over (Virtual Reality),” a compelling track that makes a poignant statement about the negative effect that technology has had on today’s world, the impact it’s had on our emotional health, and the disconnect that it’s caused in our lives.

“Do you ever realize how much the world today is run by technology?” she notes. “I started to notice how glued I was to my phone and that it wasn’t increasing my happiness. That’s when I wrote this song – ‘It’s Over (Virtual Reality).’ I created a catchy, bouncy rock tune that poses the question, ‘Can we walk away from these technologies if we had to?’”

Set for release on November 8, Out From Under will see the singer and songwriter put forth a more mature sound with edgy lyrics, and even a little bit of humor. Listen to “It’s Over (Virtual Reality)” below.
