Esteman Delivers Heartfelt Nostalgia in Shimmering New Single "Hasta Que Tú Me Quieras"

Colombian singer-songwriter Esteman never fails to win the attention of listeners with his consistent innovation and intoxicating musical style.

Fresh off the heels of his collaboration with Juan Pablo Vega (“Eso Que Me Das”), the Latin GRAMMY-nominated artist is now preparing to release his upcoming fourth studio album, the anticipated follow up to his last album Amor Libre, which was recognized last year by Rolling Stone as one of the “Best Latin Albums of 2019.”

On Friday, Esteman released his new single “Hasta Que Tú Me Quieras,” the first to be released from his new album. Written by the artist himself along with Grammy-winning songwriter Claudia Brant, the song is equal parts sad and dreamy, melding sentimental lyrics with an iridescent melody that, together, simultaneously capture the imagination and the vulnerability of the heart.

“With ‘Hasta Que Tú Me Quieras’ I looked for a nostalgic sound that reminds us of the classic songs of past eras,” Esteman says. “It’s an audiovisual letter to ask for forgiveness, in which the music and lyrics find themselves in the middle of a light-hearted sadness, that sometimes makes us want to dance, other times makes us want to cry, but there’s always a light that remains.”

“Hasta Que Tú Me Quieras” was released with a video that draws fans even deeper into the fantastical world that Esteman has crafted through his music. Whimsical imagery of classic fair rides, such as a magnificent Ferris wheel and a sweet carousel, magnifies the wistful undertone of the song.
