Latin sensation Dalizz is fierce, talented, and fearless, and she’s also the latest artist to enter the blossoming world of urban music.

Born in Puerto Rico, Dalizz spent hours and hours listening to reggaeton with her father, with genre pioneers like Daddy Yankee and Ivy Queen making a lasting impact on her and the music she would eventually write. After moving to Miami in 2015, she began to draw new inspiration from the sounds and colors of the city, and began to win attention in the industry by sharing clips of herself freestyling on social media.

As a songwriter, the rising star has a bold approach, refusing to be held back by any limitations in order to create authentic, free-spirited music, and in 2019, she formally launched her career with the dynamic, anthemic singles “El Candao” and “Alto Voltaje.”

Musical Notes Global recently caught up with Dalizz in New York City to talk all about her new music, her favorite urban artists like Bad Bunny and Natti Natasha, and more. Watch the full interview below.
