Up-and-coming teen pop artist Spencer just released his debut single "Whatever," a cool, smooth, electro-infused track that quickly accumulated 500,000 Spotify streams within its first two weeks of release.
The music video, which was filmed entirely on an iPhone, perfectly matches the vibe of the track. Watch the video and learn more about Spencer and his new single in his questionnaire-style interview with Musical Notes Global. Check it out below.
Here's the scoop on my new single "Whatever:" It’s been great to get such good fan feedback on this new record and video! You can find the music video which I’m super proud of on youtube on my channel “spencervevo”. The song is also out now on all platforms! Check it out!
The best part of filming the music video was exploring LA. I spend a bunch of time there working but never take a moment to go around the city discovering new places I never knew existed.
The artist that has influenced me the most is Jimi Hendrix because he was a visionary. There’s a reason why people can’t replicate Jimi’s guitar playing and it’s because, unlike other greats at the time, there were no patterns. No rules. He just played what he wanted and because of that, he influenced future players.
I love performing live because the rush you get on stage when playing for a dope crowd is one of the most amazing feelings. There are shows that aren’t your best, but when everything connects-you, the band, the fans, those are the magical shows that everyone always remembers.
I love my fans because they allow me to do what I love. I’m so grateful to be able to make music and perform for people!
If I could collaborate with any singer in the industry today it would have to be SZA. Her new album “Ctrl” is so wavy, and there is this smoothness to her voice that makes her super unique.
I can't wait to go on tour. I’m so excited to bring my music to a venue near you!
I have this song on repeat: "Banana Clip" by Miguel. 🔥🔥🔥
