International Colombian sensation Maluma has finally released his highly anticipated third studio album F.A.M.E. The diverse collection includes worldwide hits "Corazón" ft. Nego do Borel and "El Préstamo," his most recent single "Marinero," and also features two bonus tracks: "Felices Los 4" and "Felices Los 4" salsa remix ft. Marc Anthony.
F.A.M.E. is the wonderful, well-earned end result of a year-long process and truly marks a new chapter in the young singer's career. Holding a little something for everyone--trap, R&B, urban pop, and some bilingual lyrics--the album brings a more mature image and a sound that screams to the world he's here to stay. It proves who he is, what he's made of, and what he's capable of. And it showcases his evolution into one of the top players not only in Latin music but in the international music market.
"I am thrilled to finally be releasing F.A.M.E.," Maluma says. "I hope that those who follow my music finally get to know what I have been up to, who I am today, but mostly to enjoy it, sing and feel the music."
In addition to working with his longtime producers the Rude Boyz, the 24-year-old teamed up with Grammy winner Egar Barrera, Timbaland, and Canadian hip hop producer Scott Storch to bring the album to fruition. "Working with these production machines is an honor," he says. "I kept my roots because I don't want to move away from my natural sound which is why the Rude Boyz have always been with me, but also Edgar contributed a lot by searching for new sounds and challenging me with different mixes. Timbaland, Sid and Scott...wow! They brought along something else, an American world that I did not know, a different way of working, new sounds, something I had always dreamed of and the learning experience was thrilling."
Fe (Faith), Alma (Soul), Música (Music), Esencia (Essence). This is F.A.M.E. This is Maluma.
Maluma is currently wrapping up the 22-date U.S. leg of his F.A.M.E. tour, which ends this weekend with two shows in Florida.
