Comprising music industry vets Jean Rodríguez and Danny Flores, artist-production duo COASTCITY is quickly gaining notoriety for their intoxicating brand of Caribbean soul that brings together their bicultural upbringings as Latinos in America.

Today the duo shares their new music video for “Pa’ La Calle,” a track included on their newly released self-titled debut EP.

“’Pa La Calle’ is an anthem for all Latinos. It's about having a good time with friends and being part of the culture,” the duo explained. “Back in the day we use to hang at ‘La Fiebre’ every Friday in Orlando; it was the thing to do. People would show off their cars and do stunts while listening to their favorite jams. The car culture is everywhere from the west coast to the east coast to the Caribbean and all over the Americas. We know a lot of people will identify with the song and ‘La Fiebre’ car culture. We are the new Americana.”

The video, which was directed by Marlon Peña (Daddy Yankee, Chino & Nacho, Don Omar), features the addition of international superstar Luis Fonsi, who is also Rodríguez’s brother. “I’m proud to be a part of this collaboration with COASTCITY. They’re the voice of us Latinos who wear our flag on our sleeves but have been raised in a bicultural setting and influenced by many genres,” Fonsi said. “Making music with my brother Jean is something I’ve done all my life, but to be able to do it on this level, and actually record together for the very FIRST TIME, makes this that much special. ‘Pa La Calle’ is innovative, edgy and a breath of fresh air. Let’s keep bringing cultures together through music.”
