Alessia Labate Celebrates Friendship in New Single "Something Special"

Milano-born singer, songwriter, and producer Alessia Labate knows just how to make the soul smile with her relatable lyrics and sparkling vocals.

Recently featured on Billboard’s Queer Necessities list (May 2020), Labate has previously competed on Italian talent shows Io Canto and The Voice of Italy, and has since won over tons of listeners with singles like “Cool” with MAGNUS and Unread, and “Stay” with Guy Arthur.

Last month Labate returned with her brand new solo single “Something Special,” a warm celebration of friendship produced by Juno Award winner Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen, Alan Walker, Simple Plan). R&B-tinged yet pop-driven, the song delivers an abundance of chill vibes and cool rhythms, making it the perfect soundtrack for hanging with your bestie anytime, anywhere.

Fun fact: “Something Special” was inspired by Labate’s best friend Walter Coppola, who is not only the photographer for Kappa and Sanremo 2019 winner Mahmood, but also served as the director for the music video. Watch “Something Special” below.
