If there’s one good thing that 2020 will be remembered for, it’s the explosive return of Puerto Rican duo Domino Saints and the release of their jaw-dropping, original, and truly hypnotic debut album.

Island Kings is the first project Domino Saints has released under their own label Saints Republic, and with its boundary-shattering tropical flavor, has solidified the duo’s position as trendsetters in Latin music. First released in two volumes and culminating with Island Kings Deluxe, the refreshing collection features 13 original tracks, including the alluring singles “Wine” ft. Landa Freak, “Dutty Love” ft. Donkirap and Jaycob Duque, “A La Buena,” “Body,” “Animal,” “Sol y Playa,” and “Boca a Boca,” as well as two live performances recorded at VEVO’s New York studios.

As a commanding conclusion to the Island Kings saga, the duo recently released the music video for “No Es Pecado,” featured on Island Kings Deluxe. Produced at the hands of renowned hitmaker Sharo Towers (Farruko, Zion y Lennox, Carbon Fiber Music), the song is a celebration, of sorts, of acting on the most profound passion and losing all inhibitions. “‘It’s not a sin if we’re both crazy.’ This phrase sums up all of the emotion in this song,” Domino Saints reveal. “When you meet your soul mate, who is just as crazy as you, what’s right or wrong no longer matters and passion is the only priority.”

Created with admirable integrity and showcasing Gigi Ojeda and David Leal’s inspiring passion for their craft, Island Kings sets forth a story with worldwide appeal, speaking to the familiar desire to break free from the monotony of every day life and escaping reality to discover personal paradise. Bilingual lyrics and intoxicating rhythms that find their roots in the Caribbean and Africa, such as dancehall, calypso and zouk, conjure dreams of ocean waves and sunshine, while sensual lyrics lend a magnetic energy, helping to construct a world of luxurious fantasy.

All in all, the project is a true magnum opus, a timeless masterpiece that presents itself as a complete work of art. Everything from the photography and cover art to the music videos was diligently planned and exquisitely executed, demonstrating the talented pair’s ability to think outside the box and follow their own path to superstardom.

With Island Kings, Domino Saints have claimed their place as one of the most creative, innovative acts in Latin music today, and they will only continue to shine in years to come.

“In art, there are no rules, only instructions for expression. And the ultimate expression is good music,” they say. “If you found love and you have an enchanting landscape, you don’t need anything else in order to live like kings.”
