What's Your Pick Wednesday: "Amado Mio" Classique

It's What's Your Pick Wednesday with MNGBlog! This week's pick comes from classical crossover duo Classique.

After releasing their single "Be My Love," a modern remake of Mario Lanza's hit, in April, American soprano Ashley Marie Slater and Brazilian tenor Luperci de Souza make magic together once again on "Amado Mio." A tango version of the classic 1946 song from the film Gilda (starring Rita Hayworth), it will enchant and delight even those who may not typically listen to this style of music with its romantic melodies and of course those stunning vocals.

Classique draws their musical inspiration from some of the most beautiful songs ever written, including Broadway classics and hits from MGM's best 1950s musicals; and the pair is currently working on their debut album, which will find them covering beloved classics such as "Amado Mio." Listen below.

Classique recently curated a playlist of some of their favorite songs just for Musical Notes Global. Listen here.
