Platinum songwriter Adrien Nookadu is slowly emerging from behind the scenes to become the next new global sensation.

Already owning credits on M-22 and Medina’s platinum-selling UK Top 20 dance hit “First Time,” “Eyes off You” with Kiana Ledé and Arlissa (from the Charlie's Angels: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), and several European hits including Tom Gregory’s No. 1 German radio hit “Fingertips,” with his solo project AXI, Nookadu is creating music that entrances and electrifies through heart-stopping melodies and lyrics.

Today Musical Notes Global has the exclusive premiere of the Australian artist’s irresistibly dreamy new single “Fire Herself.” Melodic, effervescent and taken to outrageously expansive, captivating heights by exhilarating trap-pop production, the track speaks to the relatable and complex feelings that can bubble up in a dangerously passionate, all-consuming love affair.

“The song is about a person who you love and adore, yet you know isn’t good for you,” he explains. “Seeing the fire in front of you, yet you still walk through knowing you’ll get burnt. The endless loop: being torn between what you want and what’s good for you. Being told that if you walk into the centre of a ring of fire, you’ll be stuck with nowhere to go, and still doing so shows how real and honest blinded love can be; an emotion that is so addictive, you crave it even if it hurts you in the process.”

Showcasing AXI’s mesmerizing vocals and the soulful blend of R&B and pop that has led him to win over an incredibly loyal fan base, “Fire Herself” begs to be celebrated for being the intriguing, spellbinding gem that it is. The song follows the release of AXI’s successful debut single “Hands On Me,” which was released earlier this year. Listen to “Fire Herself” here and pre-save here.
